ACUPUNCTURE
Dr. Victor Elinoff has been doing acupuncture at EFP for the past ten years. He received his training in 1997 from the UCLA Medical Acupuncture course and in 1998 became a Diplomat of the American Board of Medical Acupuncture. He has twice traveled to China to further his acupuncture knowledge and teaches at the same program where he received his training ten years ago.
Acupuncture is helpful in three areas of health care:
- Promotion of health and well-being
- Prevention of illness
- Treatment of various medical conditions including:
- Digestive disorders: gastritis and hyperacidity, spastic colon, constipation, diarrhea
- Respiratory disorders: sinusitis, sore throat, bronchitis, asthma, recurrent chest infections
- Neurological and muscular disorders: headaches, facial tics, neck pain, rib neuritis, frozen shoulder, tennis elbow, various forms of tendonitis, low back pain, sciatica, osteoarthritis
- Urinary, menstrual, and reproductive problems

When you come in for acupuncture it is imperative that your health care provider does a thorough western medical evaluation for your problem. At your first visit we will have an opportunity to explore the potential for acupuncture to help you with your problem. Please make sure the results of evaluations, tests, and other medical reports are available to Dr. Elinoff a the time of your first visit so that he may determine the most appropriate treatment options available for you.
At this time acupuncture is covered by very few insurances. Please check with your insurance company to see if acupuncture is a covered service. No fault and Worker’s Compensation may cover acupuncture with PRIOR APPROVAL. Dr. Elinoff reserves the right to refuse to accept insurance reimbursement for this service if the coverage is not adequate. Please contact our office for specific acupuncture billing information.
