Automatic Payment Plan/Credit Card on File
It is important to us that the quality of our business services matches the quality of our medical care. We want the handling of your account, from the start through the final payments, to be an extension of the quality care we provide you and your family.
As with any partnership, both parties have a role to play. Our role is to provide you with quality service. In turn, your role is to pay for your treatment in a timely manner. We know that the trend in medical insurance is to shift more of the cost of care onto you. This means that our patients are incurring larger bills for the medical treatment and may be unable to plan for a large and unexpected bill. Our automatic payment plan will allow you the convenience of spreading your payment over time if necessary. Our team will work with you to determine financial arrangements that make sense for both of us. With an agreement made, our joint follow-through will result in a win for everyone.
In developing a financial arrangement, it is important to remember your future healthcare needs. Our experience has shown that when an account lingers, patients are likely to defer their appointments. It is discouraging to add new charges to an account when trying to pay off old charges. With this in mind we will concentrate our efforts on clearing your account in as short a time as is comfortable for both of us.
What it is:
With the Credit Card on File program, you may place a credit or debit card on file with the office for payments due on behalf of you or your family members or dependents. Endwell Family Physicians does not save your card information. It is securely stored by the company that already processes payment for us when you use your credit card in our office.
How it works:
The remaining balance after insurance has paid is your personal balance. This amount is auto-charged to your credit card. Your card will only be charged once per billing cycle (once per month). A successful card transaction will apply directly to your personal balance. As part of the automatic payment plan, we will charge you either your total charge, if it is less than $100, or up to $100 (if your total charge is more than that). If a personal balance remains beyond the maximum amount your card can be charged, then you will receive subsequent charges on future billing cycles, unless you choose to complete your payment by another method. You can always make payment in full through the patient portal, or by mail, phone, or in person.
Please remember that your copayment is still due at the time of service. Please remember that your personal balance may include late fees or fees for no-show appointments. As always, we urge you to call us to discuss any questions or concerns you may have about your balance.
We believe that our patients greatly benefit from the use of the automatic payment plan with a regular schedule of payments. We will continue to look for innovative ways to meet your medical and financial needs.
