One of the largest research departments in northeast
We partner with Meridian Clinical Research as the investigators on the latest medical research. EFP doctors played a major role in COVID-19 vaccine research, and we continue to help lead the way on further vaccine development and treatment for chronic illness.
COVID-19 response leaders
EFP developed a nationally recognized all-inclusive Pandemic Model that combined outpatient, inpatient, and home management of covid patients. This has included:

- diagnosis and treatment of covid patients in office
- managing hospitalized covid patients
- creating a home covid program to see patients in their own homes
- administering monoclonal antibodies in our office
- helping our community with policies and covid models
Community outreach and sports involvement
EFP doctors are medical directors of two local school districts and oversee sports medicine related to high school sports. We foster and encourage community involvement with school-based medicine and local sports teams for interested providers.
Recognition for teaching excellence
EFP is a SUNY Upstate Medical School Family medicine campus. We provide 3rd year medical student rotations and teach bioethics courses. Teaching positions for classes are available for interested providers.
International medicine
Regular trips to underserved communities outside the US. We currently work with several schools and clinics in Haiti.
