What to Expect

We know that arriving at a doctor’s office can be a lengthy process, so we do our best to streamline the process.

To speed up your time spent at check in, we offer several options:

  • pre-check-in
  • a check in kiosk
  • traditional in-person check in

For some visit types, you may also have the option of using our virtual waiting room feature, which allows you to remain in your car until we are ready to bring you to an exam room.

Pre-Check-in

Patients using our pre-check-in option will receive a link through text or email about three hours prior to their appointment time. Clicking on this link will allow you to securely complete your forms and update your personal information. In some instances, you may still have some forms on paper to complete when you arrive at the office. We do ask that when you arrive at the office, you go to the check in desk or kiosk to let us know you’re here for your appointment.

Check In Kiosk

Patients using our check in kiosk can skip the check in desk altogether! You will receive a QR code by text or email prior to your visit. Simply use this code at the kiosk, located in the waiting room, to complete your forms and notify us that you’ve arrived. If you don’t receive the QR code, you can still check in through the kiosk by using the patient lookup feature.

Virtual Waiting Room

For some types of visits, you may receive a text or email prior to your appointment time that contains a link that you can use once you are in our parking lot. Clicking on this link will alert us that you are here. You can remain in your car until we notify you that we have a room ready for you.

Telehealth

EFP offers video visits! For your convenience and health, our patients can see their provider by video. Call us at (607) 754-3863 or portal the office to schedule your appointment. Please note that not all appointment types are appropriate for a video visit. Your provider will advise you if they feel that your healthcare needs would be better served by an in-person visit to our office.
